This workshop offers an introduction to the papermaking process, including how to pull sheets of paper, as well as various papermaking and artistic techniques. Each session includes a hands-on lecture, technical demonstration, viewing of works in the Studio K collection and lots of experimentation. You will learn about the properties of different types of fibers and how they are processed, principles of western sheet-formation and creative techniques including embedding, collage and pulp-painting. No prior experience required!

Each workshop includes a Show & Tell Hour scheduled two weeks after the class to pick up finished artworks.
